Alumni

The ALUMNI community within the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering aims to be not only a bridge across time and space for the generations whose professional journeys began at Alma Mater Napocensis, but also a continuous source of connection to an evolving, dynamic society—one adapted to the increasingly rapid scientific, technical, and cultural progress we all experience today.

The objectives we pursue are directly aligned with those of the University to which the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering belongs:

Continuously adapting the specific curricula and fields of study within the faculty to the opportunities offered to graduates by the socio-economic environment, etc.

Creating an FCIC alumni community that brings together chemists, chemical engineers, educators, researchers, and managers;

Implementing joint projects based on specific goals designed to ensure and develop a strong, lasting bond between the faculty/university, graduates, current students, faculty members, and the business environment;

Engaging graduates in activities organized by the faculty or university;

Maintaining continuous feedback regarding the professional achievements and labor market integration of graduates following the completion of their studies;

Organizing roundtables and information sessions for students with the participation of alumni practicing in the Romanian pre-university education system;

Organizing roundtables and information sessions for students with the participation of alumni working in various specialized companies, both domestically and abroad;

Organizing roundtables and information sessions for students, faculty members, and researchers within FCIC, featuring alumni who are active in the field of research;

Inviting alumni to events organized by FCIC (Open Day, Christmas Magic, experience exchanges with students from other chemistry faculties across the country, etc.);

Engaging high-achieving alumni from research or the corporate sector in roundtables and consultations aimed at student career guidance, as well as evaluating a partnership tailored to current needs by aligning FCIC-specific education and self-directed study with the practical conditions of the competitive business environment;

Developing joint research projects with the potential to attract business sector funding, including the equipping of laboratories with high-performance instrumentation;

Establishing inter-university agreements, including within the Erasmus+ program, to provide opportunities for continuing and expanding scientific collaboration with FCIC alumni.

Through these proposed initiatives and the participation of yesterday’s graduates, today’s students, and tomorrow’s alumni, we aim to become a high-performing community within a high-performing university—playing a major role in training specialists and developing the Romanian society that we all, in one way or another, depend upon, regardless of where the path to our professional fulfillment has led us.
