Equipment description and characteristics
Single-crystal difractometer D8 VENTURE installed at Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is among the latest systems at national and international level. It consists of a PHOTON II CPAD (Charge Integrating Pixel Array) detector, a horizontal Kappa goniometer with four circles, two X-ray generators IμS 3.0-Mo and IμS 3.0-Cu, each with microfocus and HELIOS optics, integrared high-resolution CCD video-microscope, and software packages APEX3, APEX3 Server, DIFFRAC, BIS.

For the samples preparation, a NIKON SMZ1000 microscope is used. Aditionally the NCXRD has access to Cambridge Structural Database (CSD).
Apllications / Uses
- Full determination of the molecular structure - a complete data collection with the structure determination
- Unit cell determination - data collection and refinement for a unit cell determination.
- Data collection - data acquisition and data refinement.
